Barker Grove
Initially considering a move, our Toorak Gardens client soon realised that no other home matched the potential of their current space. As an enthusiastic cook and entertainer, they sought a layout that better supported social connection. By removing a dividing wall and flipping the kitchen and dining areas, the home was transformed—creating an open, functional zone where the client can now host guests comfortably and remain part of the conversation while cooking.
To ensure the project remained within budget and avoided overcapitalisation, we focused on strategic design rather than major structural changes. Custom joinery was tailored to suit the client’s lifestyle, providing ample storage without compromising on flow or bench space. A deep appreciation for earthy tones and a beloved painting guided the colour palette, reflected in the joinery, banquette seating, and finishes throughout. With carefully chosen furniture completing the space, the result is a warm, inviting home that feels deeply personal and perfectly suited to the client’s way of living.
